Is timber flexible?

Who thinks timber is a solid material? I also had a perception like that. But its not. It indeed is very flexible and sometimes more flexible and stronger than most of the so called strong materials. Depending on how it is cured and process, timber can be molded into the desired shape and form. It is interesting to learn about the various process methods of timber and how different it can be from one type of timber to the another.

I am a person who had always thought that cutting trees in order to extract timber from it is so unsustainable and never thought I would think otherwise. But I never knew I could be more wrong!! Timber is the most sustainable and environment friendly material which is available. The production process of other conventional materials like steel and cement can be far way more harmful to the nature compared to the trees cut in a sustainable manner.
