Terengganu drawbridge

On the way to hotel, some of us stopped at the food truck area of drawbridge to have dinner. When we arrived there around 7:45pm the place was very active. Not sure whether it is because its a weekend night or not, the place was filled with kids, families and even some costume cartoon characters. When we reached there, I totally forgot about the tiredness I was carrying for being restless since morning.

The idea of food trucks, street vendors and outdoor dinning is becoming a trend throughout the world. Especially after the covid pandemic, we kind of started realizing how limited our outdoor daily life is. However, it is a challenge to have outdoor activities like during the day in a hot and humid country like Malaysia.

Revitalizing unused outdoor spaces have started becoming more common. For example creating active streets, incorporating artworks into narrow alleyways and adding greeneries to the streets have become an important factor to the urban context. By doing this, it is also enhancing the sense of belonging, safety and security.

Anyways, the stop at the food truck was worth it. I enjoyed the scenery and the whole vibe of the area. And to add for it, the food served was very good and we had a lovely time there.
